4 beting ,folding or calling on the flop ????

0.5/0.10 the fish limped in the mp, i was  on the button with Ah8h and decided to raise to 0.40$ (isolating the fish) and the bb call along with the fish.

    flop: 5h 9d As

bb checks  the fish donk bets 0.10 $(minimum bet) i call (with intention to raise the turn if heart or 8 comes ) and  bb puts a big rais 1 $ Angry

So first  what i was thinking is : Is he isolating the fish , bluff raising mini bet( because if i have a big hand or an A i would rais the fish and play heads up ) or he really has a hand like an ace , two pairs or set .

because he was playing aggressive and by the way he raised the hand i really thoth is more as a bluff then a value rais so i decided to put a 4 bet( i thoth  if i 4 bet he will fold allot of A10, AJ or any week Ace hands that bets me) with intention to fold to all in rais or 5 bet....he was thinking and then folds.

i really want to know did i played it good or  should i call hes bet because i think he is bluffin ????

Re: 4 beting ,folding or calling on the flop ????

Firstly, 3-bet, 4-bet etc. are terms used only preflop. After the flop there are only bets, raises and reraises. Secondly, chip stacks is very important factor in every poker desicion because desisions can change from fold to push just by taking different chipstakes. But let's pretend effective chipstacks are 100BB and try to analize this hand. So answering your question..., you made a serious mistake before, so at this last point without zero information you could call this "large" 1$ raise into 1.50$ pot and just try to keep the pot small later in the hand, because most of the time your top pair middle kicker is the best hand. But reraising here is definely a mistake (unless your BB opponent is total maniac and likes go to all-in in small pots on the flop with weakish hands) because you are just turning your top pair into a bluff (of course if effective stacks would be let's say 15BB, All-in here could be the best play, but imagine it's 100BB and continue). So... you should have played different before. Preflop is fine, but on the flop then weak player donk minbets, the only reasonable play is to raise (I would make about 1-1.50$ raise), especially because you have quite a strong (but not unbeatable) hand, have two opponents and can get a lot of information with that. By raising you can knock out of the pot at least one opponent and easily fold if you are reraised (because reraise on such a dry board is deffinetly too strong for your top pair) and raise here is mostly for value. So you could win more money if you are ahead and lose less if behind. If just called after that you should just play for pot control: most likely scenarios - 1) both players fold and you take down the pot, 2) one folds, one calls, you check behind the turn and call river bluff or light value bet from your opponent or you bet yourself on river if checked to that point, get a call or a fold and you will win the pot most of the time on the river.
