ight, I live in England, where girls are more reserved in general. I used to use that as an excuse, but not anymore.
I was in a nightclub yesterday and in most nightclub dancefloors, the music is too loud to use any sort of opener, and you have to go direct. And it got me thinking, I needed a way to make an inital connection without having to shout in her ear. And then it hit me.
I had read earlier on one of these forums about how during a field report, a PUA had been saying it's crucial you look like your having a good night, your confident and you have a smile on your face whilst dancing etc (which is definately true). Now, sometimes just eye-contact and a smile work, but there are times when a girl is too busy dancing or hanging out with her friends; so eye-contact is harder because she may not be looking around too much.
The high five. It's great! This idea hit me and I tried it out on one girl who was dancing around near me, and bam! She now knew I existed, she knows I'm having a good time, it's not an 'all or nothing' approach, if she's not interested she'll still high five but maybe not show interest. But if she does like the look of you (the fun guy who's having a great night and not trying to shout in her ear) you'll have got her attention, and she'll want to dance with you. That's what I did, and it worked great for me, as I got a two-minute kiss-close. However, I think it's crucial you do it with a massive smile on your face, then it conveys the fact your a fun guy.
A couple of other points.
1) This is a direct approach and is probably best suited on the dancefloor where it's hard to speak (I need to field test it a bit more) but I'll let you know more results.
2) I think this is a fairly original approach for direct nightclub gaming, I apologise if it isn't but I haven't come across it, and I've done a bit of research on direct dancefloor game on here.
3) Do it with a smile on your face. I also found that high-fiving the most miserable looking girl either brought a smile to her face, or she would high-five and still looked miserable which I found really funny.
4) No-one doesn't go for the high-five. So far in testing it I haven't found anyone not to return it, I think you'll have to get a girl with a huge-*** shield, or a very, very miserable person not to return it; and you don't wana hang out with those girls anyway!
I recommend giving it a try on those packed, loud dancefloors!!
