 I think its a fine spot to bet the turn. He is prob gonna have a wide range 3 betting vs a steal from the SB and will often check raise flop with a strong hand. I think a check call looks very weak and you can push him of the majority of his range by betting the turn. Not to mention your line is pretty strong throughout the hand and he is going to give you credit more often than not.

it is a good spot to bet because when he 3 bets and checks the flop he will usually have a AQ or under pair hand so a bet is good there if he calls the turn i will bet the river again and he will fold a lot there unless he slow play a set or two pairs

I think that would represent a weaker hand than my initial raise suggests tbh, yes it may seem counterintuitive but it suggests we want to end the hand preflop.
