    freerolls vs buyins

my mates are always signing up to freerolls but i feel that the level of play is really low, and that there are too many players who dont really care and so they play too loose, or at least more loose than they would play normally if they were playing with real money. this is why i much prefer real buyin tournaments- am I being stup[id or are there people out there who agree with me?

It is often an all-in fest straight from the off hence you need to run like god to stay in past the initial level.

im actually a freeroll fan, but you must realise that by nature the play will be more loose and agressive

i say let them play poor u no when to play and when not to so sit back and u will take here chips.

only play your strong hands . u prob see a freeroll go from lets say 500 player to around 200 in the first

30 mins by then u will be playing the better players and the fish will be out ... good luck tott ..

I used to grind freerolls a while back to turn $0 into a starting roll on various sites, my best result was $0 to $800 plus on Betfair but tend to avoid them now due to the slovenly play.  I will play the occasional PT freeroll as I like the fact they will dump registered non-players which is another gripe I have.
